Thanks to the Albemarle Foundation

The Albemarle Foundation presented a $100,000 check to Habitat for Humanity Pasadena on Thursday, August 25th for a new home to be built at 510 Bertloma, Pasadena, Texas 77504. These funds will go to build Habitat Pasadena’s 20th home.  Albermarle Corporation employees from both Pasadena  & Bayport plants will also volunteer at the worksite on Saturdays.

The slab for the new home was being built the day of the dedication and Habitat Pasadena plans to raise the walls the second Saturday in September. Representatives from Albemarle, Karen Bounds and Becky Wofford, were onsite to present the check to many members of the Habitat Board of Directors.  City Council Women, Pat Van Houte and Jackie Welch, were also present at the ground-breaking.  The much needed rain added to the blessing of this event.
